Look Fine on the Picket Line

For a pop up show at Temporary Arts Project (now The Old Waterworks), an artist's run space in Southend, I created an installation based on my fascination with the way advertising appropriates and manipulates imagery. Shiny, faux-advert posters adorned one wall, while photocopies of embroidered underwear covered the floor, to be trampled by visitors to the show. Attendees merged with fake consumers, present in two video works projected over the collage posters. The show aimed to explore the adoption and watering down of feminism by mainstream media.
