Collaborative project for the Territories of Practise Fine Art 2nd Year show at Chelsea College of Arts.

Our installation was based on research around museum displays and anthropoligical studies - we envisioned these found objects as artefacts discovered by a future post-human society. We attempted to obscure the intended use of these objects in order to create a cognitive dissonance characteristic of the science fiction which informed our ideas. The installation balances between purpose, order and chaos: the careful placement of hair rollers and polysterene give way to organic forms floating in a paddling pool, birthing some flow of silvery matter. The sole human presence is an excerpt from a letter by an anonymous future being (Letter from Utopia, Nick Bostrom)
